Infrared Patching
Infrared heat patching is a method of blending new blacktop with infrared heated existing blacktop to create a joint-free patch. Our machine is capable of heating the existing blacktop to a depth of approximately two inches without oxidation or burning. There is no flame in direct contact with the existing blacktop surface.
Uses:
- Repair “sunken” or ‘depressed” asphalt
- Repair Pot Holes that can cause damage to vehicles and pedestrians
- Repair areas where there was utility work done without any cold joints
- Repair trip hazards
- Repair area around man holes to help water drain efficiently
Repair ‘alligatored” or shattered blacktop areas
